What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses art materials as a form of expression and the creation as a means of communication.

Art therapy opens up a room where it is possible to express oneself authentically – it leads to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationships. It allows us to gain access to our unconscious thoughts and feelings, our inner wisdom. Over time art therapy supports emotional healing, transformation and empowerment.
